Citizenship Washington Program is a 4-H trip usually organized by state or county delegations. Contact your local 4-H educator at your county Extension office for details about your state's CWF delegation and how to apply.

Step by Step Process

1. Contact Christa Priesing, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at 301-961-2893 or cpriesing@4hcenter.org for contracts and registrations forms. CWF 2008 cost is $682.00 per person.
2. Group Registration Form—Due October 29, 2007 - CWF Registration Form 2008
3. Signed Contracts and 10% deposit—Due November 16, 2007
4. Additional 15% deposit—Due January 31, 2008
5. Transportation
   • Providing Your own Transportation
     • A new Washington DC law requires that all tour buses have a 6-day Washington, DC Bus Permit:http://dmv.dc.gov/info/trippermit.shtm. Your transportation company may already be aware of this.
   • Need Transportation once you arrive in Washington, DC
     • Please fill in appropriate information on the Group Registration Form
6. Gender Count, Participant Polo Shirt Sizes to Jeunice Salita-Lim, Conference Service Manager at 301-961-2892 or jsalita@fourhcouncil.edu:

7. Rooming Lists, Participant Health Form, Participant Code of Conduct Form, Participant Media Form and Final payments are due 30 days before arrival day to Jeunice Salita-Lim.

8. Capitol Hill Day—create a plan for your delegation’s Capitol Hill Day

9. Plan Cultural Heritage Evening
   • Please see suggestions in the Coordinator Handbook
     • If you would like your Program Assistant(s) to join, please purchase a ticket for them as well
10. Delegation Day—create a plan for your Delegation Day

11. Plan an Orientation Session for your CWF delegation (for orientation ideas, contact Molly Young, Director of Youth Opportunities at 301-961-2812 or myoung@fourhcouncil.edu
